Michelle Carter who willfully and deliberately convinced her then boyfriend, CONRAD ROY III into committing suicide via carbon monoxide poisoning was sentenced for Involuntary manslaughter today. Yes, it says 2.5 years but here are the ACTUAL terms:
15 months to be served and the rest suspended, followed by five years of probation. Judge Lawrence Moniz also stated that Michelle Carter could stay free pending appeals. Hopefully she does not talk anyone else into killing themselves during this time frame.
Just in case you forgot… Here is a copy of one of her many text messages. “I could’ve stopped him,” Carter texted a classmate two months after Roy’s death, according to testimony. Carter texted that she and Roy were on the phone the day of his suicide when Roy “got out of the car … he was scared.” Carter texted that she “told him to get back in.”
